For Drug Product Services (DPS) , our successful Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) branch, located in Basel – Stücki, we have an exciting opportunity. Become part of a group that enables its customers to meet some of the greatest challenges in patient treatment and join us by applying for the temporary position of Principal Scientist - Group Leader in our Development Bioanalytics DevBA team. Key Responsibilities Lead a group of co-workers (2-4) Assume responsibility for planning, execution, review and approval of analytical laboratory work for biologics. This includes the following modalities: antibodies, ADCs, recombinant proteins, vaccines and CGT products for pre-clinical and clinical products (drug substance & drug product). Provide technical and scientific knowledge to team members in a range of bioanalytical methods including Biacore, ELISA, cell-based assays initially focusing on method development, establishment and troubleshooting activities. Contribute as team member to the success of projects, and be the point of contact for customers / project leads for DevBA. Assume responsibility for qualification of new instrumentation and maintaining lab equipment. Ensure good documentation practice by the team. Contribute to scientific field or technique by solving scientific problems within the department. Perform other duties as assigned. Key Requirements PhD in Cell biology, Molecular biology, Biochemistry, or related field , or a degree in e.g. Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences and relevant training on the job. At least 4 years working experience in analytical development and/or quality control, preferably under cGMP regulations. Excellent working knowledge in relevant analytical techniques. Particular emphasis on Biacore methodologies. Knowledge of requirements for developing methods to suit current good manufacturing practices (cGMP). Very good communication skills with excellent command of English both written and spoken. Excellent reporting and scientific skills. Capability to work independently and in a team environment.
