Position Summary As Tool Store Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and safety of aircraft operations by managing the inventory, maintenance, and distribution process of the tools essential for aircraft maintenance and repair tasks.
You will work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail, technical expertise and adherence to strict safety regulations are paramount. You will join a dedicated team supporting Company goals in costs optimization, operational efficiencies whilst delivering upmost customer service.
Main Responsibilities
Maintain accurate records of all tools, equipment, and consumables in the tool store.
Manage the issuance and return of tools to technicians and maintenance personnel according to established procedures.
Track the movements of tools using system in place to ensure accountability and traceability.
Perform all necessary warehousing tasks to ensure proper tool storage in accordance with tool store procedures, aviation regulations and manufacturer recommendations.
Perform routine inspections, maintenance and repairs of tools and equipment’s to ensure they’re in optimal working condition.
Identify and promptly address any issues or defects to prevent operational disruptions.
Provide guidance to users on the proper handling, usage, and storage of tools to prevent damage and ensure safety.
Assist technicians and maintenance personnel in selecting the appropriate tools for specific tasks.
Provide reports, metrics, listings, or any document requested by Tool Store Supervisor.
Adhere to aviation industry regulations, manufacturer guidelines, and organizational policies related to tool handling, storage, and maintenance.
Implement safety protocols and best practices to minimize the risk of accidents in the tool store environment.
Keep up to date with changes in technologies and industry standards related to Aircraft Tooling.
Lead or actively participate to continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate actively with other departments.
Minimum Requirements
A completed bachelor's degree or a completed specialized vocational training of at least 3 years with relevant further education.
Prior experience in tool management, inventory control, or aviation maintenance support roles is highly desirable.
Strong mechanical or electronical aptitude and familiarity with a wide range of hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment used in aircraft maintenance.
Proficiency in using inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Very good English language skills in both written and spoken for daily communication and documentation.
Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Flexible, teamwork oriented
Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Good understanding of the aerospace industry and the regulatory framework is an advantage.
